Surgery Tales – Stories Behind the Scalpel

Posted on June 21, 2020

Once upon a time there lived a middle child who fought hard to win the favour and most importantly the hearts of everyone he met. The kindest boy in the world his mother would call him.

A love of science and an equal love of people is a combination hard to find. It is rare that your surgeon will cry alongside you, but then that is what makes someone real, and sensitive, and human.

Today you are invited to come behind the OR doors as they close, with the patient heading into surgery. To see and hear about what really happens, instead of being left behind to wait for news of how your brother, sister, mother, father or friend or is making out on the other side.

Life behind the mask is not always as it may seem…

Who hasn’t experienced the unbearable stress of waiting while a loved one is under the scalpel. But knowing that person in good hands somehow brings a relief… It brings hope and trust.

    You are made of awesome!
