Punch it, Chewy

Even though I’ve seen Star Wars literally hundreds of times over the last 40 years, I will likely watch it hundreds more times over the next 40 years. Although we own all of the Star Wars movies on our “cloud-based TV provider“ I will still watch it on regular cable TV and sit through the commercials. Growing up with commercials developed delayed gratification; it enabled us to look forward to something and not always expect all things instantaneously. The same rings true on long car rides. There was no tablet, TV, backseat DVD player, it was just siblings and the window to occupy your time. I miss never hearing my own children say “are we there yet?”
